Bedok Ping Yi Green children celebrated Chinese New Year with festive outfits, oranges, red packets and playful lion dance performed by the children in their classroom.

Skool4Kidz centres welcomed the Year of the Horse with vibrant decorations and joyful laughter. Children and educators came together with hearts full of gratitude to celebrate Chinese New Year. Dressed in bright red and festive attire, our little ones immersed themselves in a variety of meaningful experiences. They crafted traditional decorations, sang festive songs, listened to engaging stories and participated in lively lion dance performances.

These activities went beyond fun, fostering creativity, fine motor skills and cultural awareness. Through interactive storytelling and exploring Chinese calligraphy, children learned about symbols and traditions of Chinese New Year. The lively “lo hei” tossing and group performances encouraged teamwork, communication and sharing. Simple gestures like exchanging mandarin oranges and festive treats also taught children the important values of gratitude, kindness and respect for others.

Families enjoyed the festive spirit with enjoyable games like pretend horse riding and parent–child activities such as making Chinese New Year decorations from recycled materials. These activities promoted bonding and helped children learn about the cultural significance of the Lunar New Year.

At Skool4Kidz, every celebration is an opportunity for holistic learning. This Chinese New Year, our centres were filled with discovery and smiles — a heartfelt reminder that learning is most meaningful when shared with happiness.

See wonderful moments from across our centres and campuses!
