We are incredibly proud of our talented children from Skool4Kidz Campus @ Sengkang Riverside Park, who have won both the Merit Award and Special Commendation Award at the Thumbs Up Little Junior Chinese Nursery Rhyme Competition.

On 9 May 2026, our little stars lit up the stage at the SPH (Singapore Press Holding) Media Auditorium, captivating the audience with their confidence and joy as they showcased their bilingual performance on a national platform.

Selected as one of 11 finalists from 462 submissions nationwide, our children performed a heartwarming song titled “I Want Younger Siblings (我想要弟弟妹妹)”. This award-winning nursery rhyme captures a child’s heartfelt wish, with “Daddy and Mummy, please hurry!” deeply moving audiences. Composed by our Senior Curriculum Executive Ms Xiao Xiaohua, she shared that the song was inspired by her daughter’s wish for a younger sibling.

On stage, the children displayed confidence, expression and strong bilingual communication skills. The performance was also featured in Lianhe Zaobao, highlighting its cultural resonance and educational value.

Organised by Thumbs Up Little Junior under SPH Chinese Media Group and supported by the Lee Kuan Yew Fund for Bilingualism, the competition promotes bilingualism and early language development. The performance beautifully captured everyday family moments and Singapore’s multicultural spirit.

These achievements reflect the creativity and dedication of our educators, as well as the confidence our children demonstrate through Chinese language learning in music and performance.

A proud moment as our educators and children celebrated their teamwork, dedication and award-winning achievements together.
