Skool4Kidz Campus @ Sengkang Riverside Park (SKC) has partnered social organisation AWWA in a Start Small Dream Big (SSDB) project to give back to the community.

In SKC’s recent fund-raising initiative, a Family Day Carnival was organised to engage with the neighbourhood. Some $4,000 benefitting AWWA’s initiatives was raised from the sales of carnival tickets, handicrafts and artwork by the campus staff and children.

AWWA’s Director of Human Resources and Corporate Communications Ms Cynthia Lee (centre) received the donation from Skool4Kidz’s Operations Director Mr Timothy Chan and campus representatives.

Themed ‘SKC Loves Green’, the partnership encompasses a series of events that involve our children learning to give back. Activities circle around encouraging community bonding and environmental awareness.

“Why should we keep our children in the background? We should give them an opportunity to take part in the community,’’ shares Ms Cynthia Lee, AWWA’s Director of Human Resources and Corporate Communications, on AWWA’s intergenerational care programmes to different community groups.

SKC’s other community outreach activities within Start Small Dream Big highlight the importance of preserving nature and wildlife. Activities included a ‘Biodiversity Day’, partnerships with National Parks Board (NParks) and Singapore Kindness Day.

Saving the Ocean are our little heroes from SKC.

As part of the SSDB initiative, SKC organised Family Day where children and their parents had fun at game and craft booths.
