1000 educators gathered at the Singapore Expo for a centralised Professional Development Day.
1000 educators from Crestar Education Group’s four preschool brands gathered for the first post-Covid in-person centralised Professional Development Day on 3rd July 2023. The day-long event proved to be rejuvenating for mind, body and soul!
The year’s theme was “Honouring Our Pillars of Strength: Propelling Excellence Through Supporting Your Wellness and Well-being”.
The aim of the training was to nurture “a supportive and inclusive team that values self-care”. The design of the program considered the fact that emotionally and socially proficient teachers provide a healthy classroom environment for their students.
Alongside Kinderland, ELFA and NurtureStars, Skool4Kidz educators worked up a sweat in a Zumba session held by professional fitness trainers.
Five learning workshops were hosted in both English and Chinese. Participants attended talks covering Stress and Fatigue Management; Mindfulness – Evidence-based Method for a Calmer Self; Diet & Food Myths; Nutrition – Smart Reading of Food Labels; and Mental Wellness – Positive Relationships & Peer Support at Workplaces.
Educators wrapped up the day with a 60-minute Zumba that got adrenaline flowing with lots of laughter and good cheer.
Several educators won ‘Best Participant’ awards for their enthusiasm during the workshops and took home prizes of cash vouchers.
All sessions were conducted by qualified experts in mental wellness, psychology, exercise and sports science, fitness training, and food science and nutrition. KLC International Institute helped arrange the programme and speakers as well as the presentation arrangements for the event.
