A Parent’s Praise of Care That Goes the Extra Mile

Ms. Sharon shares that her son, Skyler, from K1, looks forward to school every single day. Each morning begins with excitement, curiosity and cheerful smiles. School has become a place he feels happy, safe and loved.

One of Skyler’s favourite highlights of school is the food served, with tasty, nutritious meals that children savour daily.

She has also seen wonderful progress in Skyler’s learning journey. Through play-based learning, he learns naturally via interactions with his classmates. His confidence has grown in reading and mathematics, making learning fun and meaningful every day.

Ms. Sharon values how educators go the extra mile, showing great care and patience with big hearts. She especially highlighted Centre Leader, Ms. Jean, for her attentiveness and support during a challenging moment. During a period when Skyler’s mum used crutches for mobility, Ms. Jean went the extra mile to personally guide Skyler in assisting his mum. Skyler was patiently coached to stay close to mum and hold on to her clothes pocket while they walked home after school. Ms. Jean also highlighted that Skyler should look out for his mum, to ensure they could move side by side safely, despite mum’s use of crutches.
