Skool4Kidz Preschool @ Sengkang Fernvale Vines organised a special excursion to Gardens by the Bay for our children and their grandparents.
The morning began with a warm welcome from the Guest of Honour, Member of Parliament (MP) Mr Ng Chee Meng, who joined us for this meaningful excursion.

Our preschooler presented a handmade token of appreciation to MP Ng Chee Meng.
To launch this year’s Start Small Dream Big (SSDB) initiative, our preschoolers performed on stage with liveliness and delight. Their medley of songs and movements charmed the audience and set the tone for a day filled with love and laughter.

Skool4Kidz children performed at the launch of SSDB campaign.
Grandparents then attended the “Tell Me You Love Me” seminar on the five love languages of children. They learnt how children express and receive love differently and how to communicate in ways that children feel most loved.
While grandparents were at the seminar, teachers brought the children to explore the playground and the edible garden. The children also listened to heartfelt stories about family love, read by their teachers at the Waterfront Plaza.
The highlight of the excursion was a “Picnic of Love”, where preschoolers reunited with their grandparents. Together, they enjoyed homemade snacks and bento meals as they gathered on picnic mats at the Waterfront Plaza. They shared heartfelt conversations and warm hugs in a joyful setting — a beautiful reminder that simple moments can create lasting memories.

A heartwarming picnic moment shared by grandchildren and their beloved grandparents.
For many families, the excursion was a rare chance to slow down and enjoy one another’s company in nature. Grandparents felt valued, and children beamed with joy to share this outing with their loved ones.
At Skool4Kidz, we believe in nurturing not just children but family relationships too. Excursions like these deepen the connections that support a child’s learning journey.
