In celebration of SG60, Skool4Kidz preschoolers joined over 10,000 children, family members and educators across Kinderland International Education group in a meaningful sustainability project. They had a hand in creating Singapore’s largest art mural made from reused plastic parts.

The mural symbolises a collective hope for a greener future. Our young learners from Skool4Kidz actively contributed to this nationwide effort by engaging in every step of the creative process. Our preschoolers eagerly collected, sorted, dismantled, painted and glued old plastic items to build the mural. Through hands-on experience, they learned about recycling, caring for the Earth and working together as a team.

Preschoolers sorted plastic parts by shape and colour — learned about recycling through hands-on fun!

Children dismantled old toys to prepare parts for Singapore’s largest reused plastic mural.

With brushes in hand, our preschoolers added vibrant colours to recycled plastic pieces.

Each part was glued on carefully by our children, who contributed to building a mural that celebrates SG60 and sustainability.

Over six weeks, a total of 424kg of plastic toys were collected. More than 35 percent of these toys were cleaned, sorted and reused for the mural. This mural was officially recognised by the Singapore Book of Records – Singapore’s Largest Mural Made of Reused Plastic.

Through this project, they not only exercised their creativity but also learned the value of giving plastic a second life. Guided by our educators, these little hands helped turn waste into a meaningful piece of art reflecting our nation’s shared commitment to sustainability.

We are proud to be part of a group-wide movement that brings children, families and educators together in shaping a brighter and cleaner Singapore.
