Skool4Kidz Care Fund, the preschool’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm, has raised another $20,000 in a show of continued support for the Children’s Cancer Foundation (CCF).
Doing Our Part for The Community
To raise awareness of childhood cancer and the lives it affects, CCF hosted a virtual Awareness Talk for the Kindergarten 2 children from all 22 Skool4Kidz Preschools. The engaging presentation used animated content to explain childhood cancer and the treatment process as well as facts and myths about the illness.
Our children developed a deeper understanding of empathy and the process of care and support required for those living with this disease. The children were also encouraged to discuss these topics with their parents and guardians.
CCF is a social service agency that provides much-needed resources to children with cancer and their families. Skool4Kidz Preschools began supporting CCF in 2016, inspired by a case among our own preschool children. Since then, Skool4Kidz Preschools have donated a collective total of over $80,000 to CCF – including $26,000 in 2021 alone.
We are honoured to have helped many families with cancer-afflicted children benefit from CCF support.
“As a low-income family, we were initially worried about Alveena’s hefty medical bills when she was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. Thankfully, CCF assured us that there was a financial assistance programme that we could lean on,” said Ms Qiara, Alveena’s mother.
We look forward to more donation drives and awareness talks in the future, so we can raise more funds to help more families in the battle against childhood cancer.
