Skool4Kidz’s talent management framework, aptly named ‘‘Leadership Development Programme’’ focuses on real-world exposure, professional interaction and course-based training to groom the careers of our staff. The strategy prepares High Potential candidates for future transition to leadership roles, giving our staff a roadmap of investing their future with us.

The Programme aims to groom successful leaders and role models within the Skool4Kidz network. This structured and systematic framework supports the development of our talents and has helped many of our staff make significant advancement in their careers.

Those who have consistently outperformed their peers, and are willing to go the extra mile, are given the opportunity to advance further through the Skool4Kidz Leadership Development Programme. The Programme identifies aspiring employees to hold successive leadership positions in the organisation.

Ms Angie Ang, 33, from Skool4Kidz Preschool @ Punggol Waterway is a good example. Angie made a career switch from the retail industry upon obtaining her WSQ Professional Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education from KLC International Institute.

From a retail supervisor to early childhood educator, Ms Angie Ang enjoys nurturing young children.

During her first year as a childhood educator, Angie faced many challenges in her work, especially in handling the children’s behaviours and tantrums. “There was a child who was rather introverted when he first joined school. It made learning difficult as he was required to interact with peers during lessons. However, together, with the use of visual cues and different techniques, we managed to overcome his challenges. He is progressing well today,’’ she shares.

With her maturity and experience as a supervisor, along with the strong support and guidance of her Centre Leader who is also her Mentor, Angie excelled. Her performance impressed many, especially her ability to lead and inspire others. Angie was subsequently nominated by her Centre Leader as a candidate in the Skool4Kidz Leadership Development Programme. Encouraged, Angie attended various Continuing Professional Development (CPD) trainings arranged by Skool4Kidz Talent and Training divisions to further develop herself as a Teacher. Angie progressed quickly and is now promoted as a Senior Teacher.

Skool4Kidz’s Leadership Development Programme continues to invest in engaging, motivating, guiding and retaining quality staff to perform better for their personal growth.
